APPLYING TO TGI: REQUIREMENTS AND PROCEDURES
The Gordon Institute seeks to enroll engineers and other technical
professionals who are motivated and who have shown the potential and the desire
to assume positions of technical leadership.
Candidates for the program must have an undergraduate engineering, technical or
science degree, and a minimum of three years of work experience.
Applicants must submit the following:
- The Gordon Institute application for admission.
- Official transcripts from undergraduate (and if applicable, graduate)
education.
- Two letters of recommendation from individuals who can make specific
comments on the applicant's performance in the workplace. Preferably, one of
the recommendations should be completed by the applicant's current supervisor.
- A current resume.
- A $65.00 application fee payable by check or money order made out to Tufts
University.
- Official TOEFL scores requested from ETS (if required).
Standardized Tests: Test scores from standardized tests such as the Graduate
GMAT or GRE may be submitted, however they are not required. The Institute
believes that the quality of the applicant's academic record, work experience
and letters of recommendation are the best indicators of potential for success
in the program.
International Applicants: In most cases, the information found in the MSEM
Admissions section of this website is applicable to international students. For
exceptions and additional information for international students

Retention and property of materials: All materials submitted in support of an
application become the property of Tufts University and neither originals nor
copies of this material will be returned or sent to a third party. Therefore, we
suggest you make a copy of the application and those documents which are not
confidential for your records.
Retention of application folders: The applications of those who are admitted but
decline to accept, and of those not admitted, are kept for one year from the
date the admissions decision is rendered, and may be reactivated for review with
submission of a new application form.
