Charlie Rabie
Professor of the Practice – Business strategy, ELS 101 Entrepreneurship & Business Planning

Charlie Rabie has enjoyed a 30 career in the high technology field. He served as Senior VP of Products for Aspect Communications, a leading international company specializing in CRM and call center technologies. Mr. Rabie was an integral part of the executive team defining Aspect’s mission, vision, and strategy. His responsibilities included leading a team of 300 professionals located in multiple offices around the globe, covering product management, engineering, quality assurance, training and documentation. Aspects' elite customers included: Comcast, Fidelity, American Express, British Airways, Verizon Wireless, Internal Revenue Service and Siemens.

Mr. Rabie also founded a successful startup company in Canada. The company was acquired by a US firm that issued a public offering on Nasdaq in 1993. He was appointed Executive VP of Products where he managed the engineering and QA team. Mr. Rabie was also involved with the strategic acquisition of several software search and categorization companies to deliver complete solutions to customers. Prior to founding his startup company, he served as Operations Manager for a global engineering firm where he worked on many international projects, including the upgrade of the NORAD early warning system.

In addition to his corporate experience, Mr. Rabie served as a full-time lecturer at McGill University’s Faculty of Management MBA Program. He graduated with a Master’s degree in Science specializing in Computer Science from Concordia University, and has taken many technical and business management courses throughout his career. He has delivered presentations at numerous conferences including several keynote addresses.

Mr. Rabie lectures on Business Strategy and is responsible for the experiential learning modules at Tufts Gordon Institute. He currently consults for several startup companies, and is on the Board of Directors of GardaWorld USA, a company with 50,000 employees specializing in cash collection and management, and security services.
