Dr. Paul Sullivan, formerly VP of Strategic Development at Applied Materials, has spent over 20 years as an executive in the Semiconductor Industry.

Dr. Sullivan held a variety of positions during his tenures at KLA-Tencor, Varian Semiconductor and Applied Materials including Business Strategy, New Business Development, M&A, General Management and Product Development. Most recently he was responsible for developing growth processes focused on innovation and business strategy.

Prior to embarking on a career in the Semiconductor Industry, Dr. Sullivan was Professor of Precision Metrology at University of Birmingham in the UK and a Research Scientist at The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

Since leaving Applied Materials, Dr. Sullivan formed a consulting business advising companies on business strategy and innovation.

Dr. Sullivan’s formal education was in the UK and he holds a B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Warwick, an M. Phil. in Engineering Design from the University of Coventry and a Ph.D. in Precision Engineering from the University of Birmingham.
