APPLYING FOR MASTERS OF SCIENCE IN ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME AT TUFTS GORDON INSTITUTE IN INDIA

REQUIREMENTS AND PROCEDURES

Tufts Gordon Institute seeks to enroll engineers and other technical professionals who are motivated and who have shown the potential and the desire to assume positions of technical leadership. Company sponsors are invited to nominate programme candidates.
Applicants must hold an undergraduate engineering, technical or science degree, have a minimum of three years of total work experience and be prepared to undertake a rigorous, postgraduate-level programme of study.

Commitment to corporate sponsorship must be made by February 15th, 2008. Individual student applications for admission as well as results of the TOEFL and GRE exams must be submitted by April 15th , 2008.

THE APPLICATION PROCESS:
Applicants must submit the following:

  • Tufts Gordon Institute application for admission - application
    forms (including instructions for submitting).
  • Official transcripts from undergraduate (and if applicable,
    graduate) education.

    Obtain official academic records (transcripts or mark sheets) in sealed envelopes for each year of post-secondary education (college or university), as well as official copies of degrees awarded. Copies of credentials must be validated by a school officer, such as a registrar, and must be attached to a certified English translation.

  • Two letters of recommendation - letter of recommendation forms. Obtain two letters of recommendation from individuals who can make specific comments on your performance in the workplace. One of the recommendations should be completed by the applicant's current supervisor.
  • A current resume
  • Official GRE score - http://www.ets.org
  • Official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score - www.toefl.org

Important: Both, your official TOEFL score report and your official GRE score report must be sent directly to the Tufts University Graduate School Admissions Office. In order for us to receive the reports, you must use the Tufts University Graduate School code number 3901 as one of the score recipients. Student copies or photocopies will not be accepted.

Applications will not be reviewed until all required materials are
received.

Retention and property of materials: All materials submitted in support of an application become the property of Tufts University and neither originals nor copies of this material will be returned or sent to a third party. Therefore, we suggest you make a copy of the application and those documents which are not confidential for your records.

Retention of application folders: The applications of those who are admitted but decline to accept, and of those not admitted, are kept for one year from the date the admissions decision is rendered, and may be reactivated for review with submission of a new application form.

IF YOU'RE ACCEPTED

  • Enrollment Confirmation: You must return your enrollment decision form and deposit by the date indicated on the form.
  • In order to enter the United States, students accepted into MSEM programme must first receive a DS-2019 form from Tufts International Office and consequently apply for corresponding J-1 visa in the US Embassy in India.

Tufts Gordon Institute office will provide instructions and assistance to students in a process of applying for DS-2019. Required documents:

  • Copy of student's company sponsorship letter.
  • Copy of TGI acceptance letter.
  • Completed application form.
  • Copy of a student's passport identification page.
