The Entrepreneurial Leadership Studies Program (ELS) is the locus of entrepreneurial activity at Tufts University.
Undergraduate Courses in Entrepreneurship / Minor in Entrepreneurship
Through this highly customized program, you can select individual classes as electives or work with an Entrepreneurial Leadership Studies (ELS) advisor to structure a minor tailored to your specific goals. The ELS courses are open to students from all schools and majors. The Entrepreneurial Leadership Minor is one of the fastest growing minors at the university.
Graduate Courses in Entrepreneurship
The Entrepreneurial Leadership Studies Program now offers a course in High Tech Entrepreneurship geared toward graduate-level students across the university.
Tufts Ideas Competition
The Tufts Ideas Competition provides early-stage startups with mentorship, funding, and the support needed to catalyze their ideas. The Ideas Competition also serves as a feeder for the $100k New Ventures Competition.
Tufts $100k New Ventures Competition
The Tufts $100k New Ventures Competition is a university-wide event that attracts entries from alumni, faculty, undergraduate, and graduate students from colleges across the university and has been profiled by Forbes as among the best university-sponsored entrepreneurship competitions. New in 2015, we will be adding a Life Science/Medical track to the existing Social Impact and General entrepreneurship tracks.
The ELS program also hosts two lecture series: the Alan Shapiro Entrepreneurial Lecture and the Lyon & Bendheim Alumni Lecture, featuring distinguished entrepreneurs and prominent alumni.
