Entrepreneurial Leadership Program

Tufts Gordon Institute

The Entrepreneurial Leadership Program (ELP) for Tufts undergraduates offers an innovative curriculum that deepens your knowledge of core business concepts and provides a wealth of hands-on experiences to put this knowledge into practice in the real world.

Through this highly customized program, you can select individual classes as electives or work with an ELP advisor to structure a minor tailored to your specific goals. The Entrepreneurial Leadership Studies (ELS) courses are open to students from all schools and majors. The highlight of the ELP’s academic calendar is the annual $100K Business Plan Competition, which showcases the entrepreneurial spirit of the entire Tufts community.

As the locus of entrepreneurship at Tufts University, the ELP also hosts two lecture series: the Alan Shapiro Entrepreneurial Lecture  and the Lyon & Bendheim Alumni Lecture, featuring distinguished entrepreneurs and prominent alumni. In addition students can join Tufts Entrepreneurial Network on LinkedIn, which connects students and alumni with resources to grow their own business enterprises; and Tufts Entrepreneurs Society, a student organization focused on entrepreneurship-focused education and networking.

The Entrepreneurial Leadership Program’s focus is on educating leaders with the capacity to foster innovation in the organizations they create or join. The program’s pragmatic focus is energized by professors with extensive industry experience and an advisory board of business leaders who ensure the curriculum remains relevant and prepares students for the challenges and opportunities of our global innovation economy.
