Where were you in your career and what drove your decision to go back to school?
I was working as a Systems Engineer at Akamai Technologies. In addition to my day job, I was involved in various side projects, which allowed me to develop my entrepreneurial skills. While I was constantly learning, I still felt that certain things were better understood in a more formal educational setting. This is where TGI filled the gap for me personally.
Why did you choose to pursue a M.S. in Engineering Management at Tufts?
Two main reasons that drove me to choose TGI where were a curriculum designed by past and present technology leaders, and also the flexibility to continue working full-time while pursuing my degree.
Was there a professor or module that impacted you and why?
Yes, Partha Gosh. Professor Gosh presented complex economics topics in a way that engineers could understand and embrace. The most intriguing aspect of his lectures was his humanistic approach to economy, which recognized the good and the bad, and instilled great responsibility in his students to not only see the degree as career stepping stone, but an opportunity to make a positive change in the world.
