Where were you in your career and what drove your decision to go back to school?
“I decided to go back to school after several years of being in a strictly technical role. I had aspirations to find a position where I had more ownership of the task and a team to lead. I felt that the people getting these positions already had experience, so I found myself in a bit of a quandary where I needed experience to be able to get the experience. I decided to enroll in the MSEM program as a way around this predicament, hoping to gain the management and leadership skills I would need to allow my career to grow.”
What is your favorite part of the Tufts MSEM experience so far?
“In my previous two degree programs, I mostly worked individually, diving into textbooks to answer my questions and to get a better grasp of the material. I rarely sought the help of other students or professors. At Tufts, there is so much productive interaction with fellow students and faculty. We are encouraged to work together, seek the advice of our instructors, and even to reach out to other organizations and contacts provided by the faculty. The camaraderie, and the accommodation of everyone in the program has really blown me away, made class enjoyable, and created an environment conducive to learning.”
