Professional Education

Reinventing management education for today’s technology leaders. The individual, graduate-level courses offered under the Professional Education umbrella are strategically calibrated for the 21st-century technology professional. Courses are open to working professionals and Tufts University graduate students.

What are Professional Education courses?

The graduate courses  are designed to give you essential knowledge when you need it—like a powerful boost of leadership expertise before you take on new responsibilities or the ability to understand financial statements and assess data analytics to drive more effective business planning. Pragmatic, rigorous, and transformative, Professional Education courses are taught by professors with rich industry experience and a noteworthy ability to communicate that experience. Your classmates also belong to the technology world, so you learn from—and with—faculty and students who share a deep understanding of the distinctive challenges you face

Are they graduate level courses?

Yes. Professional Education courses are taught by top-quality Tufts Gordon Institute faculty. In fact, you can apply up to two credits (equivalent of 8 credits at most other universities) towards the modules required to earn your Master of Science in Engineering Management when you feel ready to apply to our program. Please contact the admissions team at if you would like further information on how the PE courses apply to the M.S. in Engineering Management degree requirements.
