Sean Hemingway, MSEM '01 • Senior Vice President - Global Head of BioLife Plasma Services at Takeda

Sean Hemingway began his career in the biotech industry as a process engineer with companies including Perceptive Biosystems and BASF Bioresearch. In 1999 Sean joined Wyeth Biotech, where he advanced to senior-level operations management roles. He joined Genzyme Corporation before moving to Baxter International as Vice President, Head of Strategy and Operations Efficiency. Following Shire’s combination with Baxalta, Sean became Head of Product Operations & Network Excellence. After the acquisition of Shire by Takeda, Sean took on the role of Senior Vice President - Global Head of BioLife Plasma Services. Sean holds a BS from the University of Rhode Island, and an MSEM from Tufts Gordon Institute.

Carl Long, MSEM '04 • Global Quality Director at Cabot Corporation

Carl Long joined Cabot Corporation in 2000 as Technical and Quality Manager of Cabot’s Inkjet Colorants Division and is now the Global Quality Director. He provides safety, health, and environmental leadership by inspiring ownership and discretionary thinking across the organization. He has successfully implemented world-class manufacturing practices within existing operations while increasing the speed of execution for commercialization activities and has established a culture of customer-focus, continuous improvement, and drive for flawless execution. Prior to joining Cabot, Carl was employed as Operations Manager at Eastman Gelatine Corporation in Peabody, MA. Carl earned a BSE degree in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University and his MSEM from Tufts Gordon Institute. He is also a certified Six-Sigma Black Belt practitioner.

Lisa Wyman, MSEM '08 • Senior Vice President of Technical Operations at Acceleron Pharma

Lisa Wyman is currently the Senior Vice President of Technical Operations at Acceleron Pharma. She is an accomplished biotechnology and medical device executive with over 20 years of diverse experience in engineering, manufacturing, and quality compliance. She is committed to developing and supporting women in life sciences and in the Greater Boston community. She was previously Senior Director, Quality Compliance, and Risk Management at Shire as well as Executive Director, Head of Quality at Mersana Therapeutics. Lisa received her BS from Ithaca College and her MSEM from Tufts Gordon Institute.
