Sarah Stockwell has 20 years of training and development experience in the private and educational sectors. In the Office of Alumni Relations at Tufts, Sarah manages the Tufts Alumni Council and volunteer management. Previously, Sarah served as the Training Director for reacHIRE, a company that helps women re-enter the workforce after a career break. In this role, she managed, facilitated, and delivered content to help women make the transition back to work. Prior to this, Sarah lived in Beijing, China with her family where she ran Parent Effectiveness Training programs based on the work of Dr. Thomas Gordon.
At the Fletcher School at Tufts University, Sarah developed, managed, and facilitated a professional development program for all graduate students designed to help them prepare for their job search upon graduation. Curriculum topics included leveraging the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) to understand career choice; marketing oneself effectively using an elevator pitch, professional communications, online presence, and strategic resumes and cover letters; networking; and interviewing.
At Forrester Research, Sarah managed entry- to executive-level employee training and leadership programs in their Cambridge, MA office. She also managed the human resources function while helping establish Forrester’s European headquarters in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Sarah is active and involved in her local community – in the arts, schools, and her church. Sarah is certified to use the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), as well as Parent Effectiveness Training. Sarah earned her B.A. in American Studies, and her M.A. in Museum Education, both from Tufts University.
