Real-world opportunities, in and out of the classroom.

Eager to put your new skills and experience to use? The MSIM program includes a semester-long leadership project, empowering you to directly apply your learnings. The choice of industry and role are up to you.

  • Intern/Job: Join a company anywhere in the world that is seeking to inject innovation into a project. MSIM students have interned at companies like iRobot, Zeiss Microscopy, KPMG, Clark Construction, and Onapsis.
  • Entrepreneur: Continue working on your previous sprints with the goal of turning them into stand alone ventures.
  • Consultant: Join a student consulting team to solve a company’s innovation challenge.

It helps to know the right people.

The MSIM faculty, including MSIM Director Kevin Oye, are dedicated to your professional growth. It’s not just about learning skills in a classroom. Your professors will provide personalized guidance, connect you with industry leaders, and help you land the right role for your interests.

In our new mentorship program, you’re paired with a relevant industry mentor. You’re then able to tap into their wealth of experience, accessing advice and guidance as you plan your career path.

You can also leverage the Tufts Gordon Institute’s alumni network from both the MSIM and M.S. in Engineering Management programs. Almost 1,000 alumni work at leading tech companies in the greater Boston area, including Apple, Genzyme, Google, Honeywell, Raytheon, and Pfizer.
