Engineers at the root are problem-solvers. This program helped me to apply those problem-solving skills for business issues, not only technical issues. The ability to speak, as a technical person, with confidence on the business side is valuable and unique.

It's more than acquiring new knowledge.

It's developing new competencies that complement your technical expertise.

Broaden your perspective with an understanding of strategic management for tech companies in today’s global landscape. Use systematic methods & data practices to generate organizational value. Make your learning actionable through an immersive focus on leadership development, maximizing your ability to solve problems, lead teams, and make effective decisions.

Online MSEM Competencies

A lot of my colleagues are global so having practice in trying to meet & collaborate with teammates virtually and having long-term project goals where you're all prioritizing your contributions differently was a huge eye-opening experience.

Developing leaders for a tech-driven world.

Leadership development is a hallmark of the MS in Engineering Management, in both the online and on-campus programs. Our unique and transformative curriculum is designed around 3 core competencies not often taught in other degree programs: critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and moral reasoning.

Not only will you learn through your coursework, but you'll receive valuable personal coaching on how to apply these learnings to real-life situations you face in the workplace.

How do you build teams? How do you negotiate through conflict, or have impact without authority? Those are critical skills to master to be a respected and impactful leader.

High impact outcomes & a strong return on investment.

Graduates of our MS in Engineering Management program have seen success leveraging their degree into accelerated career advancement. In a study of the Classes of 2014-2019, we found that over half of MSEM students are promoted before they even graduate, and that success only continues to grow after graduation.

believe the MSEM was worth its cost in time & tuition

Not only have I been able to transition from engineering over to the business side in product management, I've also gotten recognized & promoted to a managerial position. I really feel strongly that the personal success is indicative of the hard work I put into the MSEM program.
