Engineers at the root are problem-solvers. This program helped me to apply those problem-solving skills for business issues, not only technical issues. The ability to speak, as a technical person, with confidence on the business side is valuable and unique.

Flexible & convenient, catered to you.
The Online MSEM program was designed to allow you to balance your education, career, and budget as you engage in a collaborative virtual learning environment for a total of 32 credits over the course of 2+ years.
One of the benefits of our customizable program is the freedom to adapt your course load, taking between 1-4 short, 7-week asynchronous courses per semester.
Courses are custom designed to be engaging and interactive, featuring curated content like short videos, virtual office hours, and small group discussions that build a sense of community and your professional connections. Discover your passions through elective courses offered either online or on-campus across Tufts University.
While many students complete the Online MSEM program in 2 years, some choose to extend the experience into subsequent years as a way to spread out the course load and tuition payments, giving them the opportunity to take advantage of additional tuition reimbursement funds from their employer.
Before I joined the program, my only worry was that the distance might be tricky, but everyone is very engaging. The fact that you can spread it out over two to five years is actually extremely useful because you might find that your workload is a certain way and you need to cut down on a little bit for a semester. You have a lot of flexibility to do that.

Graduates of our MS in Engineering Management program have seen success leveraging their degree into accelerated career advancement. In a study of the Classes of 2014-2019, we found that over half of MSEM students are promoted before they even graduate, and that success only continues to grow after graduation.
