Got breakthrough science you want to turn into a company? Activate is backing scientists on the founder track. Join us for an info session to learn about Activate’s two-year fellowship, which provides early-stage science entrepreneurs with funding, technical resources, and unparalleled support from a network of scientists, engineers, technologists, and fellow entrepreneurs. Activate has supported 294 fellows to date, who’ve gone on to raise $5.5B in follow-on funding and create 3,000 jobs.
All @Activate Fellows share a common purpose: to transform bold ideas into real-world solutions. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to combating urgent global challenges, and there’s no single persona, path, or story behind who an #ActivateFellow is. No matter what leads them to the fellowship, each fellow’s journey is unique, and their expertise contributes to a strong foundation of learning and benefits the full cohort.
The Activate team will introduce how the program works and what it offers researchers at every stage — from PhD students to postdocs — who are exploring whether their lab work could become a startup. We’ll also share the stories of two Activate teams from Tufts: Deco Labs and Entocellular. Entocellular won 1st place in the Healthcare & Life Sciences track of the 2025 Derby New Ventures Competition, is a Tufts Venture Accelerator alum, and completed NSF I-Corps with the Auster Center for Applied Innovation and Research.
