MSEM Alumni Gather at Nightshift Brewery

The event was held by TGI to bring alumni in the greater Boston region together to reconnect, network outside their class year and have a fun, social evening.

Over 90 M.S. in Engineering Management alumni, ranging from the class of 2004 to the newest class of 2016, joined Tufts Gordon Institute faculty and staff on June 8th at Nightshift Brewery in Everett, Massachusetts. The event was held by TGI to bring alumni in the greater Boston region together to reconnect, network outside their class year and have a fun, social evening.

Guests mingled while they snacked on food from Munch Mobile Kitchen, tasted a variety of craft beers from Nightshift and took tours of the brewery’s facilities. Event-goer’s noted they liked the “ability to reconnect with my class and professors” and the fact that the event was not too formal and “the casual nature of the event encouraged socializing.”

There was a short break for a few brief remarks from TGI’s Executive Director, Mark Ranalli, who provided an update on TGI news. Alumni Council members George Lee ’14 and Thom Cox ’15, also spoke encouraging interested alumni to get involved in the newly formed council to help plan future events as well as provide input on ways to build the TGI brand. Several lucky alumni walked away with TGI hats and branded beer steins as a result of the raffle held at the end.

TGI is excited to continue to hold such events to support the growing and successful alumni community.
