ZwitterCo Receives BIG Award for Business
ZwitterCo was recognized as a 2022 Startup of the Year by Business Intelligence Group's BIG Award for Business! This impressive accolade arrives not long after ZwitterCo raised $33 million in funding earlier this year.
Scope Tennis Raise $500k Pre-seed Funding
Tufts Venture Accelerator 2022 team, Scope Tennis, recently raised $500k in pre-seed funding as they prepare for their upcoming beta test and launch. Scope Tennis, founded by Laurent Isnard, A22, and Maximilian Stehling, is a fan engagement platform that runs on a blockchain and uses NFTs as player cards.
Forbes SportsMoney Features Sean Harrington and Notemeal
Forbes’ SportsMoney section recently published a story detailing how Sean Harrington, A14, grew his company Notemeal from a team of five employees to serving 15 NFL teams, six NBA franchises, and 43 colleges. After winning the Cummings Property Rent Credit in the 2020 Tufts $100k New Ventures Competition, Harrington and Notemeal cofounder Kevin Kusch continued to push the sports nutrition app to ever greater heights!
Owl Labs Secures $25 Million Series C Funding and HP Partnership
Owl Labs, cofounded by Max Makeev, MSEM ‘09, recently raised $25 million in a Series C round led by HP Tech Ventures. This funding also marks the beginning of a strategic partnership between Owl Labs and HP. As proud customers of Owl Labs, Tufts Gordon Institute and the Derby Entrepreneurship Center at Tufts look forward to their continued success!
Epic Cleantec OneWater System Makes TIME’s Best Inventions of 2022 List
Epic Cleantec, a 2017 Tufts $100k New Venture Competition winning team, was recently recognized as a Best Invention of 2022 by TIME Magazine! The OneWater system will allow buildings to treat up to 95% of their wastewater to be reused for purposes such as irrigation, laundry, and plumbing.
Brittany Sokoloff Named as Partner at ArentFox Schiff
Brittany Sokoloff, A11 was recently named as one of 13 new partners at ArentFox Schiff, effective January 1, 2023. Brittany graduated with a minor in Entrepreneurship and is active in the Tufts Entrepreneurial Network, an alumni group associated with the Derby Entrepreneurship Center.

In a big win for all Jumbopreneurs, Tufts University earned a spot among Pitchbook’s top 50 universities internationally ranked by startup founders! This achievement recognizes Tufts’ many founders and the successful fundraising efforts of their startups.
