Tufts Gordon Institute Welcomes Incoming On-Campus MSEM Cohort; Application Cycle Continues

Ahead of the fall semester, incoming On-Campus MSEM students connected with each other and met with leadership.

On Tuesday, July 14, Tufts Gordon Institute welcomed incoming On-Campus MS in Engineering Management students through a town hall discussion where students met with fellow cohort members, faculty and staff.

Kevin Oye – Executive Director of Tufts Gordon Institute and Director of the MS in Innovation and Management Program – welcomed and updated students on the upcoming semester. In his address, Kevin discussed what students can expect in terms of COVID-19 testing and safety precautions. Afterward, Mary Viola – Director of Engineering Management programs and Professor of the Practice – gave a preview of how courses would work this fall while maintaining a high level of interaction.

As we continue to review applications for the Fall 2020 semester for both on-campus and online programs, university-wide plans for the upcoming semester have been announced. For On-Campus MSEM students, the upcoming semester will remain true to hallmarks of the program. From personalized coaching to leadership development, courses will leverage both in-person and virtual instruction to provide a safe and intellectually rewarding experience.

Ahead of orientation in August, students had an opportunity to network and get to know each other in breakout sessions. Learning more about their classmates, the students each answered the question, “Outside of your job and career, what are you passionate about?”

Currently, the incoming On-Campus MSEM cohort represents more than two dozen high-powered companies at the forefront of industries like technology, defense and life sciences.

Welcome to the Tufts Gordon Institute community, MSEM students! We look forward to seeing your accomplishments in and out of the classroom as well as your professional growth throughout the program.

Applications are still welcome for Fall 2020 to both our On-Campus and Online MS in Engineering Management programs. Make an immediate impact on your career by gaining business skills & confidence leading teams, all through our hands-on curriculum.
