Biography

Jim Nash has a successful 35-year history in systems and software development, marketing and management, with a focus in abstract automata and data science. Jim has balanced experience with Fortune 100 employers and clients (Tektronix, Intel, Textron Systems, General Electric) with work at small companies and venture-funded startups. Jim began his academic career with an NSF grant to develop a FORTAN undergraduate course, and has constructed and delivered courses at Michigan State University, Gannon University, Carnegie-Mellon, and Tufts' Gordon Institute. Jim earned a BS in Computer Science as a National Merit Scholar at Michigan State University, with graduate work in computer science and linguistics. Jim is a co-inventor for 4 U.S. patents, with another patent pending. Jim is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt (from General Electric); a certified Software Quality Engineer (by the American Society for Quality), a certified Project Management Professional (Project Management Institute), and is a member of the ASQ, the Association for Computing Machinery, and a Senior Member of the IEEE.
