Biography

Joe Volman is a partner at Burns & Levinson, a Boston-based full-service law firm. He received his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law, his L.L.M. from the Erasmus International Law Program of Leiden University of Holland, and his B.A. from Tufts University. As co-chair of the firm's Business Law Group, Joe counsels entrepreneurs and investors, startup and emerging companies, and private equity/venture capital funds through all phases of the investment process, and also represents family-owned businesses, public companies and investment banking firms. Joe seamlessly guides clients through public offerings, securities compliance, buying/selling private and public companies, and venture financings, as well as through a variety of early- and late-stage private/public equity and debt financings.
