Rev. Dr. Kristin Cherry is a media scholar, communication educator, and animal chaplain. A foundational researcher in reality television studies, Rev. Dr. Cherry created an early reality TV classification system and investigated audience outcomes. Her teaching spans university departments, community youth programs, prisons, and churches. In addition to academic work, Rev. Dr. Cherry founded Soul Snout, an animal chaplaincy practice. A retired professional disc golf player with five years on tour, Rev. Dr. Cherry is an avid hiker who has attempted a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail.
