The Tufts Fifth Year really allowed me to identify what I'm good at, what worked in undergrad, and go into my master's in a very seamless transition. I feel extremely prepared for my professional career in a way that the four years of undergrad didn't quite give me.

Fifth Year Master's Degree Program
Continue your education at Tufts University and earn your MS degree in only one additional year!
The School of Engineering offers Tufts undergraduate students the option to simultaneously earn credits towards their Master's degree while completing their Bachelor's degree through the Tufts Fifth Year program. By double-counting course credits in this way, you can save on tuition expenses towards your Master's degree, as you will need to complete fewer courses total. The total number of credits and courses required will vary depending on your chosen Bachelor's and Master's degrees.
Apply if you:
- want to save an average of 20% on your Master's degree tuition
- reduce your course load in later semesters
- speed up the time it takes you to get real world working experience
- have the opportunity to experience graduate level courses while still an undergraduate student
If you're interested in pursuing the Tufts Fifth Year program, you can connect with Tufts Gordon Institute during your junior year at Tufts and we will help you plan your course progression and get you on the pathway to taking graduate-level courses!
