MS in Engineering Management
In an era where more top global CEOs have engineering degrees than MBAs, we have redesigned our MSEM program into a contemporary, primarily online graduate experience specifically to prepare leaders for the new world of work.
Leveraging our 30+ years of award-winning curriculum development and expert faculty, the part-time MSEM program offers working professionals from around the world the opportunity to develop business & leadership skills from the comfort of their own computer. You have the flexibility to set your own personalized pace of study as you move through the program, earning your degree in as little as 2 years or taking up to 5 years to spread out the course load and tuition cost.
The Tufts MSEM features a fully online core curriculum and a robust lineup of online elective courses that provide you with the best of both worlds – the ability to learn on your own schedule along with opportunities to virtually collaborate and connect through team projects, optional live class sessions, individualized leadership coaching, and community events. Incorporate in-person learning into your program of study and earn credits toward your degree through our immersive weekend experiences. You’ll join classmates, faculty, and industry experts on the Tufts campus in Medford, MA, to learn, network, and collaborate while engaging in interactive experiences, workshops, and social activities focused on a key topic of interest and relevance to tech leaders. Students who live within commuting distance also have the option to enroll in in-person elective courses offered on Tufts University’s campus.
Please note that Tufts University's MSEM program is not a full-time, residential program. If you're looking for an immersive, full-time program delivered in-person on campus here in Medford, MA, we encourage you to check out our MS in Innovation & Management program.
MS in Innovation & Management
A next-generation engineering management program designed for recent STEM graduates with a passion for technology innovation and entrepreneurship.
The MSIM is a full-time, on-campus program designed for students who want to be at the forefront of developing new ideas. With Tufts MSIM you’ll gain the product innovation, marketing, finance, and leadership skills you need to be a new leader in today’s technology-driven world - all in just 12-15 months of accelerated, in-person study.
The MSIM curriculum provides the same core knowledge and skills that an MSEM education provides, but with the added benefit of providing you with deeper insights & experience in early-stage innovation, including customer discovery and product ideation. This broader skillset prepares you for a career in product & project management, business or data analytics, engineering & technology innovation, consulting, and more.
Students also have the flexibility to deepen their technical expertise by selecting an area of concentration or enrolling in our MSIM-MS Dual Degree where you can earn two master's degrees in just two years, choosing from in-demand disciplines like Biomedical Engineering, Human Robotic Interaction, Data Science, and more.
