Students from across the M.S. in Engineering Management and M.S. in Innovation & Management programs, as well as a variety of Entrepreneurship courses, recently came together to participate in a community town hall. Themed around "Global Economy and Geo-Politics in Transition: Challenge of Leadership," the town hall was a real-world extension of the students' New Economics and Globalization & Multinational Strategies courses, featuring expert panelists and a lively Q&A session.

The event was hosted by Partha Ghosh, a Professor of the Practice at Tufts Gordon Institute and a renowned Management Consultant and Policy Advisor with an extensive record of solving strategic, operational and complex organizational issues in technology-based industries. Ghosh introduced the audience of nearly 100 students to the panelists, including Dr. Staffan Canback and Dr. Jahangir Sultan.

Dr. Canback is currently the Managing Director of Canback, an elite management consulting firm anchored in predictive analytics and consumer knowledge. Prior to founding this company, he was a partner at both Monitor Deloitte and McKinsey & Company. Dr. Sultan has been a Professor of Finance at local Bentley University of nearly thirty years, and also acts as an advisor to Green Technologies, a startup involved in alternative energy projects in Bangladesh.

The panelists shared their insight and perspective to a captivated, crowded classroom and welcomed a variety of candid questions from the attendees. This town hall is the first of many to come from Tufts Gordon Institute, so stay tuned for future topics and updates!
