M.S. in Engineering Management Program Now Offered in New Evening Format

With two formats to choose from, weekend or evening, prospective students will be able to select the format that best suits their lifestyle and work schedule.

Tufts Gordon Institute is expanding its M.S. in Engineering Management program and will launch an evening format in the fall of 2009. With two formats to choose from, weekend or evening, prospective students will be able to select the format that best suits their lifestyle and work schedule.

In the evening format, classes are held two evenings per week over the course of four academic semesters. During the first year, classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. During the second year, classes are held Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Class sessions are not held during the summer between the first and second year, however, students do work on the practicum, a team-consulting project, during this period. Students must also complete a real-world individual leadership project during their 4 semesters of study. All classes are held at Tufts Gordon Institute, 200 Boston Avenue, Suite 2400, Medford, MA. A light meal is served at 5:30 pm prior to the beginning of class in order to facilitate interaction among students and between students and faculty.

The evening format was developed in response to a market research which indicated that a significant number of practicing technical professionals would prefer to attend classes in the evening. As expected, prospective students who have attended recent information sessions have expressed a keen interest in the new format. The additional capacity created by the evening program will also help Tufts Gordon Institute meet the overall demand for the MSEM program.
