Biography

Frank Apeseche brings to Tufts Gordon Institute more than three decades of experience creating, building, leading, and advising successful enterprises. He is a professor of the practice, instructing courses in business strategy, entrepreneurial finance, financial and managerial accounting, and enterprise management. He also teaches Finance for High-Tech Ventures in the M.S. in Innovation and Management program, and is a faculty advisor to master's candidates completing their capstone leadership projects. Beyond Tufts, Apeseche is a partner and co-founder of J. Locke & Company, a merchant bank specializing in corporate growth and repositioning opportunities. He is Chairman of Amstar, an international real estate private equity firm. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Launchpad Venture Group, an early stage venture investment firm, where he advises and finances start-ups in the technology, life science and cleantech industries. Previously, he was chief executive officer of The Berkshire Group. At Berkshire he helped launch more than a half dozen start-ups and led four companies through their initial public offering. Frank Apeseche's academic interests focus on competitive strategy, innovation, sustainable enterprise growth, and leadership.
