Biography

For more than 30 years Julianne has been putting technology and capital to work for the greater good in a variety of sectors and applications, most recently as Founding Managing Director and GP, Reinventure Capital. She has previously served as: Co-Founder (seed-stage investment); VP of Communications (utility-scale energy storage); Co-founder and Director of Business Development (biofuel); VP of Engineering (water purification); Senior Staff (engineering services); and trusted advisor (many). In addition to teaching Innovative Social Enterprises at Tufts, she mentors with the MIT Venture Mentoring Service, WPI, and others; speaks and writes for audiences such as TBLI, SOCAP, EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women, and the MIT Nuts & Bolts Course, among others; and frequently serves as a reviewer, judge, and connectrix in the US and internationally. Julianne earned two SB degrees from MIT (Aero/Astro Engineering and Literature / Humanities), an MS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland, and an executive certificate in sustainability management from the Presidio Graduate School. She served as an EMT in Maryland and in Massachusetts, and was twice a finalist in the NASA astronaut selection process. She is a Conscious Company World Changing Woman and was named to Forbes 50>50.
