Become a leader empowered by technology

The MS in Technology Management & Leadership (MSMTL) curriculum was developed in response to a growing demand for compassionate leaders who possess the technical skills, business insight, and emotional intelligence necessary to lead and make strategic decisions in a rapidly evolving world. For over 30 years, our MS in Engineering Management (MSEM) program has been successful in training leaders in engineering-focused fields, however as we have seen the explosive growth in other tech industries such as computer science, business analytics, human-robot interaction, and more, it has become clear that leadership is needed across the broader technology landscape. You'll gain the technical expertise to make data-driven decisions, the business acumen to find practical solutions, and the communication skills to effectively lead any organization.

Additionally, as an MSTML student you will be given the flexibility to explore personal areas of interest or deepen your technical expertise in our Pathway elective offering. You may choose to dive deep into a Pathway of electives on a certain topic such as data science or software systems development, or follow a flexible pathway to discover new interests. These options are designed to ensure you are well-prepared to fill the growing leadership gaps in the tech industry as a whole.

Our Faculty Make the Difference

At the heart of Tufts Gordon Institute are our faculty; they aren't just academics, they are seasoned professionals who bring their real-world experience into the classroom. Our faculty embody the spirit of our program with a student-first approach to teaching. They don't come to the classroom with a script for their lesson but with a curiosity to know more about you, the challenges you're facing in your career, and how they can help you succeed. With a lifetime of proven professional experience, they are the masters of "learning by doing" and eager to help you unlock your potential as a leader.

“Because the TGI faculty and staff have such a breadth and depth of knowledge from both industry and academia, there is always an opportunity to learn something new and experiment with innovative ideas.” - Amy Hirschfeld, Distinguished Senior Lecturer
